MEET runs travel trade shows where travel agencies meet hotels, local agencies and tourism boards in back-to-back 20-minute meetings. We rebuilt their matchmaking platform from scratch: participants find the right partners and book their own meetings, and the organizer runs the whole event from one back office, in English and French.
At a MEET show, the meetings are the product. Every buyer and every exhibitor has a personal agenda of 20-minute slots at the exhibitor’s table, and a single double booking means someone waiting at an empty table.
The previous off-the-shelf platform proved the format, but it carried features the team never used, missed the ones they needed, and could not grow with longer events or new kinds of shows.
A booking engine that only ever places a meeting in a slot that is free for both people and for the table, checked inside the database, so two requests sent at the same moment can never collide. Exhibitors can accept automatically, and when no common time is left, a booking assistant frees one by moving another meeting.
Matchmaking by destinations and company types suggests the right exhibitors to each visitor, and the right visitors to each exhibitor, the moment booking opens.
For the organizer, one back office: participants and companies, a live scheduling grid, the ability to step into any account to help, e-mail campaigns with templates and mail merge, statistics down to catering headcounts, and every export the event needs.
